Dimity Street Church, Johnstone
Bobby & Mairi Sneddon had the vision to see the closed Gospel Hall re-open its doors to the community as 'Dimity Street Church'. Today, the work is growing and they are rejoicing in regularly seeing 60/70 people on a Sunday morning,half of which are adults.
In November 2002, Bobby and Mairi were joined by John and Fiona Dick They
had been building a relationship with the church and working there while
they were students at the GLO Training Centre but feeling the call of
God to full time work in Johnstone.
The Church meets for worship on Sundays at 11.00am. They are currently meeting on Sundays in Thorn Primary School, Thorn Brae, Johnstone, PA5 8HE
Monday is a busy day for the Church, with a parent and toddler group in the morning, a parent and baby group in the afternoon and a keep fit class.
Youth
club is an informal time of games crafts etc with an epilogue
to share the gospel with the children each week. Youth
Fellowship is for young people who are interested in finding
out more about God and the Bible.
